Hiking Guatemala

I'm currently working on degoogling and as part of that process I'm moving my location history away from google timeline and over to owntracks. A future blog post will likely be dedicated to this process and its outcomes. and potentially visualizing the tracking data from some of these hikes. Before that's ready, I wanted to give an overview of some of the hikes I went on in Guatemala.

Ollie and I decided around 9 PM that we'd be attempting this hike early the next morning. After leaving our house around 4:50 AM we took an Uber to the trailhead. With the sunrise at our backs we trekked upward and reached the summit about 1.5 hours later. This is a view of Xela (Quetzaltenango) where I would be staying for the next 3 weeks to study Spanish.\
